Colored Cover + End of Year Plans

December 10 2019

Ever wonder what the cover of Heroine Rises: Dangers of Serenity would look like with some color? Well wonder no more!

The colored cover page for Dangers of Serenity is now viewable here on the reader!

I started coloring the image myself but the file got corrupted and I really didn't feel like coloring it again so I reached out for help! Credit to Moe Malik for doing an awesome job of coloring the cover page!

About Heroine Rises

Unfortunately, I haven't been keeping up with the production of Heroine Rises. I've started some of the remastered Chapter 1 and some of Chapter 11, but I'm stuck choosing between which one I want to work on. I'm leaning towards finishing the remaster but who knows at this stage? I'll be busy with exams and other art projects this month so I can't really promise a release date at this point either.

What about SweetWater?

I'll admit, I was a bit too hasty with the announcement of SweetWater. The writing is mostly done but I don't have all the concepts and thumbnails.

When I announced SweetWater, it was because I wanted to do something else besides Heroine Rises. However, I'm looking forward to continuing my main series.

SweetWater is still there but I'm not sure how I'm going to find time to create it. Maybe if I actually pick up a pencil and draw out the panels... We'll see. It's on a back burner for now but I'm still eager to do something with it.

Cover Remaster Project!

I really enjoy the process of creating and coloring cover pages... but some were rushed or simply didn't meet my expectations.

So I've decided to work on remaking some of the more 'disappointing' cover pages.

I'm thinking of starting with Chapter 7: The Daughter of the NSPD. While I think this isn't so bad, I envisioned something much different and I hope that I am now able to bring that original idea to life!

Then I will reveal the new remastered Chapter 1: Small-Time Detective Cover. (I'm really proud of it, I think it looks fantastic) before taking on a redraw of Chapter 5: Ada, Robert, and the Ring.

From there, I will see if I want to remaster the cover of Chapter 2: To Become a Heroine or simply tweak it to fix some inking errors.

I won't be remaking Chapters 3, 4, or 5 since I think they're pretty good and have their own unique charm.

Since this is 'A Creative Archive' for my work - none of the covers will be removed from viewing - they will simply be moved to the Gallery.

Until later!
