'Teresa's Tidings' + Website Updates!

September 09 2019

Teresa's Tidings is the final piece of my first batch of 'Pop Art' style pieces that depicts a young woman showing off 'authentic' tacos. But how do you know if they're really authentic? How do you know Teresa isn't a FAKE?

If you asked these questions (even if you didn't) - I suggest you read my write-up on the process of creating 'Teresa's Tidings', it covers what the piece really means and how I struggled to create it. You can read it in the Gallery! Just find the piece and click on the image. Once you click it you should see a sidebar come up that has a write-up on the piece! Once you're done with that - feel free to check out some other pieces! Every one has something written about it!

New Gallery + Website Updates!

That sidebar is really cool! Now you can read extra info on the pieces I've created and maybe learn something else about me while you do! Not only that - I've made it ten times easier to add pieces into the Gallery so from now on you should see more frequent updates to it and more art! The Gallery Update is something I've been struggling to get working correctly and I've finally been able to do so. I'm excited! But what else has changed?

The biggest thing is that most of the content is now fed through a service called Contentful instead of folders in the Website project. Blog Posts and Gallery Items are now a breeze to add to the website and will result in much more frequent updates and content!

Beyond that I've updgraded the Banner on the homepage to auto scroll and finally updated the cover art for Heroine Rises!

Speaking of Heroine Rises...

"Where's the next chapter?"

"Yeah it's sundown!"

Heroine Rises: Dangers of Serenity

... Is delayed.

*Boo!*

September was a busy month with going back to school, maintainence people in my house, sales, and a weeklong trip to Massachusettes. So I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to work on Heroine Rises. I could have had about half the chapter done at this point if I worked as hard as I could have - but I've honestly been a bit lazy. I have pencilled about half the chapter (12 Pages) and inked about half of those. The cover page is inked and nearly colored in so that should be revealed soon.

I don't know how long it'll take me but I've been working hard since the start of last week to get the chapter going again. I think I'll release the first half of the chapter with the cover page within the next two weeks and hopefully get the rest of it done before the month is out. Then we'll try to get back on a more consistent release schedule because this can't keep happening.

Hold tight - more is on the way.
